In These Times

​It is appalling that in THESE TIMES there are Still Amendments written in the law that have a time limit on Basic Human Rights…

Our “Right To Vote Time Line Is Up and there is a stir in the air … Memories of restrictions and detentions of basic human rights flood the mind…

Some greet this news with approval others seek the removal of these violations; many would like to turn back the hands of time when People of Color Knew Their Place.

They will Vote in their Congressional Rooms, opening old wounds while reminding themselves that Outside Pressure is the only Reason For Change. 

Civil Rights will be discussed with energy and vigor … Human Rights still must take a back seat.

Reparations, apologizing for Slavery, are not seen as Important for these Law Makers, who secretly and sometimes openly cling to Old Southern Mentality.

​We are in  The Information Age... 

Things are happening even before you reach the Last Line of This Poem...

Don’t get caught unprepared, and stop acting like you don’t care.

Listen to the things they don't want you to hear... 

Open Your Mind as well as Your Eyes... 

SOMEONE has to Warn, Protect and Teach the Children…

Old Laws written to insure that equality is not a reality for certain sects of humanity have not been abolished...

Old Laws that Enforce the beliefs that Black People and Others have to be regulated and subjugated are still in the constitution and have not been addressed.

Like the RIVER FLOWS so does our struggle for true acceptance in the world.
In THESE TIMES, with all our modernization and bragging about being a unique civilization, many inhabitants throughout the planet are suffering, are starving and needing  some type of assistance…

Fear still rules in THESE TIMES, racism still shows up in these times, Justice still keeps getting sent away for those who plead and need it…

In THESE TIMES, children act like adults and adults act like children … Heaven is not pleased and neither should we be.
