Gone Too Soon: Aja Dixion , Sandra Bland, and a growing list of young, vibrant, Black women and girls who have been victimized in life and in death… Victimized by the Press, victimized by those who manufactured their death and tried to justify their sudden demise, with calculated Lies… Lies of Resistance, Substance Abuse were attached to their behavior, to their character, without provocation or justification… Lies of Suicide were used to cover-up an obvious homicide… The Camera’s Eyes don’t know how to lie…A Crime was committed and the guilty walk around free… Free of Charge and rewarded for doing a great job, while Justice takes a back seat and the parents continuously weep for their loss… Gone too soon because someone refuse to see their humanity, their beauty, their love of life…
Gone too soon and removed by hands that didn’t give a damn that they were innocent of all the trump up charges… Innocent regardless what the Medical examiner had to say or the Police had to say… Aja Dixion, Sandra Bland and all those others were victims of a crime, who are gone before their time… Character assassination won’t make people forget them, stalling justice won’t make people forget them… They were loved, they were cherish, a Prison Cell did not cause their demise and they loved life too much to commit suicide… Gone Too Soon and taking their stories out the media won’t stop the voices who still seek Justice… Won’t stop the protest and unrest from all those Mothers, Fathers, Family and Friends, whose eyes can’t hide the rage and sadness that still burns inside… Aja Dixion, Sandra Bland, Rekia Boyd, Ayana Stanley-Jones_________ ___________ __________________ ______________The list continues to grow and justice continues to be a No-Show… Remember Their Names and Remember what happened to them… Gone Too Soon… Just Like Those Others: Tamir Rice, Eric Gardener, Trayvon Martin, Kimani Gray, Sean Bell, Amadou Diallo, a long list of unjustified madness… Out the papers, out the News, Never out the Mind… |
