This is an Election Year , all the Politicians will be out there, some Promising this, and some promising that, while others talking about Watch Me Pull a Rabbit out of my hat…
Masters of Illusions vowing to end all this confusion, when we all know they won’t because give-a damn, many of them don’t… Vote for the Wolf or Vote for the Fox is one of the few choices you got… While Crime and Unemployment stays on people’s mind, Politicians are battling it out, to see who has the most gifted mouth… Trick the people so they do not know, lie to the people so they do not grow… When the month of February is over will you stop learning Black History? Stop being Black History? Stop studying Black History? Ask yourself about yourself…
365 days… Black History is the beginning of All History… So when you hear the statements, and see faces that can’t hide their relief that, This Month is over... Smile at their ignorance and continue to study, continue to learn all you can… It is written that “The People Perish because of Lack of Knowledge”… 365 days… The children have a right to know… Does the death angel have to get personal for you to recognize that injustice sometimes goes universal and can reach your time and space…?
When will YOU be concerned? Does your child, your mate, your family members or friends have to become a casualty for you to truly understand that Poverty and Color should have nothing to do with treating people fairly? When will YOU be concerned? Does your comfort zone and your home have to be interrupted for you to show empathy and sympathy for the plight of those whose lives are in turmoil, whose very existence is in peril? |
